the owner has died a few years back and the wife and son were selling it,i believe there was a green 70 Charger as well.
anyway it was once for sale for $60,000 bucks

not sure if its a real 396? never saw the paperwork?
i think Clints mom is a friend of the owner?

I have GM Vintage paperwork for that car-I looked at it in a barn out in Tilbury-The guy had bought it from the original owner when it was a year old-parked it in 77, orig silver painted blue-nice original body with minimal rust-drivetrain was messed with many times-real L34 M20 car

this guy later bought the car and did it up this way and passed away shortly after

I think Rick Simpson said $40,000 would do it

Grand Prix on the block

Well, 1st day of the RM Auction (now called Collector Car Productions) saw some interesting cars go through. The one that caught my eye was this Grand Prix.

http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?SaleCode=TF09&CarID=r251&fc=0#

The car started up with a roar, dogs a bark'n, up the ramp it went, nice! This numbers matching car, build in US (blue engine), sounded solid! A local car appraiser said he knew this solid car. Bidding started and stalled at 7K, then a bid for $10K, then it quietly rolled off the ramp, not sold, and the reserve was $12.5  We went to the desk to find out, and they couldn't varify the $10K bid, we think it was the post holding up the ceiling, ya know how they try to build up the price! It's still available for bids when i left, i would consider just meeting the seller and working it out.
Anyone know this vehicle?

Still waiting for an allegedly available but elusive 66 SD 325 horse 396.

Have you any knowledge of one ever Ken?

this is for the "Pontiac" fans

back in the day that George was doing these no charge-I thought I should get it checked before spending the $500 firm

lets not forget it had a chrome front bumper, a chevy small block, no winsdhield and a dog living in it. The car was sold before I got this paperwork-changed hands a couple times locally before heading stateside-any bets its a rust free original panel car today ?

they ran the car again end of the day Sunday-No Reserve- really looked nice

not really fair to meet up with a seller to work it out when the auction located the car for you-we are talking about a 10% fee that can be negotiated after a no sale on the block
