RE: Dear Ray: Please sit down before opening this thread

I've always been able to see the inner beauty in these old cars.

Paint and wallpaper are easily changed. wink

Earl is correct. D'elegance was an option level on Fleetwoods back in the day. When the last RWD Fleetwoods were discontinued after 1996, the name was transferred to the Deville in 1997. In 1997 and on there was the Deville, Deville D'elegance, Deville Concours each marketed at a different segment of the Cadillac demographic. The D'elegance was suppose to fill the Fleetwood void.

We have pros on Board who appraise for a living but I am never shy about tossing out a low ball, in this case I say $12,000 to $15,000.

well thats what the price guide says

a professional would have to look at it before quoting a value-but I'd guess off the record thats not a low ball Ray

It amazes me how close I get all the time.  Are any of these price guides available on line ? Is this the same thing as a black book or blue book or whatever it's called?

Old Cars Price Guide, comes out monthly and is considered the authority on collector car values in North America:

or you can order a specific report:

I will be starting work on this one hopefully by Feb. I got some stuff done this summer, with thanks to Tiny for some great help. I don't have a shop of my own anymore so I have to find a heated spot to use.cadi, mustang 001.jpg

That's the way it's suppose to look. I saw Earl's car a week or so before he bought it and it is a solid ride.

A beautiful and well kept classical car that will only continue to generate value, it is a black 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Everything on the car is stock, nothing has ever been replaced or changed. For the years that we have owned the car it was always kept inside and was well maintained. The previous owner had purchased the car brand new and only drove it to and home from church on Sundays.
It has low mileage and would be a fantastic addition to any collection.
