Hockey - It's all good so far.

We play 36 games per season so we are just about a quarter of the way through. The team I coach finished 6th last year and made a quick playoff exit. We still need to work on our team defense, last night we gave up two in the dying minutes and ended in a tie BUT one loss is a huge accomplishement for these boys. We are the Leaside Flames, I just copied the GTHL official standings:

Thanks guys, there are a few "chinks" in the armour but that's why we practice. My goal going in was top four so that seems to be attainable. We played terrible last two nights but still managed 3 out of 4 points. I want to work on our goals against, too high for my liking so that's team defense that has to get better.

Chris, on Sunday night we had a shutout, Monday we allowed 4 and last night 6 so I'm letting those 10 in two games bug me too much I suppose. Those two gamnes were against teams below us in the standings too, Golden Hawks and Thunder.

Looking at last year we are doing great, boy I can't believe it when I see 150 GA.
