RE: "Bow" monts for sale

That blue 67 has been listed on Ebay more times that I can count, ran out of fingers to count on, lol. The seller did finally lower the price by $1000 but if he keeps listing it with the high starting bid it will never sell. Start the bidding low and set a reserve.

I agree.  Two years ago he might have gotten that price right off the bat but now you really have to price things under $10K to get people to look at things and think seriously about them in the first place.

I've sold a couple on e-bay, I always start the bidding at my rock bottom price with no reserve-saves dollars listing it-saves time dealing with tire kickers-might not sell on e-bay but lets the world know its available

as for this one-tough market-doubt it'll sell for that but only time will tell

Did you read the description for this car?  It is described as a "Chevrolet" because "that is how it is titled and registered in California".  Idiots!disbelieffurious

I've had Beaumonts here in Ontario titled as Chev Beaumont, and I've had Pont Beau, I've even had Beau CTM, even Pont Cvll

Pont Cvll! haha. When I bought the Dodge I got to "choose" whatever I wanted for the name as it hadn't been transfered to an Ontario ownership and the girl behind the MTO counter didn't have a clue. I should have said "Hemi Challenger"

Rare car. It's a plain Beaumont convertible. I assumed it was a genuine SD with some of the trim missing. Guess I should have read the ad instead of looking at the pictures only.

Not quite sure of the reasoning to make a SD "tribute" car, got the nice hood, but didn't put the other trim on the outside???

Was that bright yellow a factory color in 67?

Any real photos of the rest of that car? You know, in the suit spots.

 sure

I have a good black steering wheel that I can let go with the car

I'm still interested in that steering wheel in the unlikely event that it doesn't go with the car.smile

Congratulations. Hopefully both buyer and seller are satisfied, as another great car moves on to the next stage in its life.

thanks-its great to drag these things outta garages where their hiding never to be seen and find good homes for them with new members to the hobby-gotta admit though its getting tougher to find them, and even tougher to find homes for them

Congrats on the sale! More time to focus on the convertible now!
PS I think I'll be ok steering wheel wise. I should have a Beaumont horn ring arriving as well as a Chevelle steering wheel which will be matched up!

yes, when he tried to negotiate-I tried to substitute the wheels with an OK set of GM 15 x 7 rallys on black wall radials and allow about $500 but that didn't work.

I had about $700 in the wheels-gave Carl $650 and $40 to get them to Barrie. I've been told these aftermarket rims are not that great-there was quite a bit of weight on them but then again there were bias ply.

if you want similar-there was a set of G70-15 mickey thompson down this way for $400 tires only.

yes-I had the convertible on the hoist today-I forgot how decent it was !

glad the steering wheel thing worked out-I paid $100 for the one I gave with the car-somebody here was asking about a 67 wheel I quote $100 for it anf they thought I fell out of a tree wanted to spend $20 ! anyway I'm happy to keep it-hope you bought yours right too.

Ken

Paid $100 USD bucks for a nice 66 Chevelle wheel and horn ring, and another $80 CDN for the Beaumont horn ring. When it all arrives I'll have a spare Chevelle horn ring.
Fair price for all I think (considering the availability...)
Congrats again.
