yup , motor spins forward and reverse from the switch, I put the belt back on , spins the secondary unit OK,, but doesn't seem to spinthe drive cables? I have to play with it,, the secondary unit may have something broken in it? never had one apart before??
any advise??

Anyway, if that power seat is complete and makes all the right noises but won't move the track it is usually a simple fix.
Take apart the little aluminum coloured gearbox and just remove the components. They are very simple inside, easy to keep track of what goes where. It will likely be full of a heavy yellowish grease, kind of like Vaseline but heavier. Clean all that out of there with an alcohol cleaner of some sort and grease it all up with a very light grease, like a white lithium grease. It usually cures them.
The grease in there gets so tacky when it gets old that the gearbox components won't move like they are supposed to.

I'm kinda thiking it will end up in my 68 Beaumont SD , My 67 GTO has a power drivers unit that doesn't work either.....so, I hope with your advice ,, I can get it working too....
BUT, if it is 4 sale,, your first up..

Well, long ago the triplet lived in Winnipeg but she was a 396 4 speed car! My buddy had been tracking it for years and we both had the owner's number and told him to call when he was ready to sell.
One day the ad was in a local paper for $1200 and of course it was gone when I called....
Never heard of the car again. I bet a large Tim's that 396 4 speed ended up in a Chevelle or something and the car got shredded.
