You know the type. That group of guys would have a great time picking your car apart with that decal on it!

Looks like Rabbit maybe went home for the night.

Anyway, if that power seat is complete and makes all the right noises but won't move the track it is usually a simple fix.

Take apart the little aluminum coloured gearbox and just remove the components. They are very simple inside, easy to keep track of what goes where. It will likely be full of a heavy yellowish grease, kind of like Vaseline but heavier. Clean all that out of there with an alcohol cleaner of some sort and grease it all up with a very light grease, like a white lithium grease. It usually cures them.

The grease in there gets so tacky when it gets old that the gearbox components won't move like they are supposed to.

Haha, you came back while I was typing I guess.

Anyway, if you take it apart and run into trouble, just let me know.

thanks for the clinic,,, I'll fuss with it tomorrow night ...

I sold the interior ,, but the fellow who bought it didn't want the trouble of making it work, so I swapped him tracks.

thanks...rog

Hmm, do you want to sell it?

That would be a neat little toy to put under the drivers seat in my 67 Nova SS.

Well, long ago the triplet lived in Winnipeg but she was a 396 4 speed car! My buddy had been tracking it for years and we both had the owner's number and told him to call when he was ready to sell.

One day the ad was in a local paper for $1200 and of course it was gone when I called....

Never heard of the car again. I bet a large Tim's that 396 4 speed ended up in a Chevelle or something and the car got shredded.
