Do you have the GM documents for the car? We always love looking at those too. If you post it here on the forum, maybe just blank out the last couple of numbers on the VIN for security reasons.

Yes I have full documentation for the car. It was originally a 396, 350 hp, but the original owner used it for drag racing. It then sat in a barn for many years without an engine. The second owner purchased this car around '91 or '92. He restored it and put in (at that time) a brand new crate LS6. It still had the 4 speed M20. The rear end was swapped from a 4.56 to a 3.31 posi which is still in there now. In the 18 years the second owner had it, he drove only 7000 miles. Total original miles is 35,000. The rear cove trim was always black. I'm more familiar with the SS Chevelles than the Beaumonts, but only SS"s have black rear coves. You guys need to educate me on the details.
Still learning about the colours on the cove. I don't own a 67 SD but follow the discussion on them. There doesn't seem to be a set pattern as to why some are black, some white.
Can you post your documents minus the last part of the VIN? I am hoping it happens to have a build date that will fill in a blank in the Beaumont registry that is on this site.
Or, if you don't want to do that (which is fine, some people are not comfortable with doing that) at least the information off or a picture of your cowl tag?

Once you have had a taste of that LS6 you won't ever go back to the 396. I live east of Lindsay, so I don't have to ask where Oakwood is. Would you know John Vincent. He has a dark blue '66 Chevelle with a 427. I believe he lives west of Lindsay somewhere. Nice guy. Nice car. Yours is the kind that people will stop and stare at as the car goes by. NICE.
