Welcome, Welcome!!! 15, huh?? That is how old I was when I got my first car, my 2+2 Rag. Lots of work to them, but chin up and it will be greatly enjoyed when you take it for its first ride!!

Welcome!  I wish I had as cool a car when I was 15.  You can try Cross Canada Auto Parts as well:

http://www.crosscanadaparts.com/

Anything else, don't hesitate to ask.  We have a wealth of knowledge on here, and many 67 owners.  Also, some of us are pack rats and may have parts squirreled away that you might be able to pry out of us.wink

Welcome Jonathan,

You're now on the world authority for Canadian Pontiacs. Some guys here even have a PhD in CP. Your car has potential. Black on Red fastback, nice!

What exactly do you need to do?  Lacquer thinner will remove just about anything but for large areas you are better off soda blasting or doing something similar.

Geez, you are bringing back memories for me Jonathan. I remember being your age with my 1970 Buick Skylark. I was a regular at the wreckers. That was in the 80's and the old stuff was still in the yards. You'll learn to get creative and do a lot of things yourself. If you haven't already, invest in a shop manual. Also, try to get to all the local swap meets (like Tillsonburg this Sunday). Buy some decent enough tools (decent enough like Mastercraft on sale-keep an eye on the fliers!) and try to save for a 110v Mig Welder. They sometimes show up on Kijiji. Also, Princess Auto was paradise for me when I was your age (and still is!)..
