A couple of things come to mind on this one.

First these things are so darn rare, where are you going to find one in better shape? Big BUT, this era A body is a very difficult car to restore. Imran's 73 GTO has over $60,000 in NOS parts and he said he would never restore another 73-77 A body ever again. I have no idea where one would find the GMC Sprint emblems for example but I haven't look either.

Now, take a front clip from a Lemans + Lemans doors and then make another one of none LeMans GT or GTO pickup. biggrin

It would be a handful to restore, Ray is right about the parts, won't be easy finding anything you don't have.

I almost bought a 71 Sprint out of Edmonton many moons ago.  Checked it out on my way home from Vancouver on a business trip.  Unfortunately once again, looked much better in the pictures than in real life.  I really wanted to find an SP but no luck.no  Ended up getting a nice 70 4 speed SS Elky originally out of Sask. though.smile

I had a 74 ElCamino SS 454 back in 78-79. It was a cool, fast ride in it's time. It was 4 years old when I got it and had been painted already and I soon found out why. It was rusty. After the winter it was bubbling in the quarters and the floor had a hole in it. There is a mint one owner 77 that is on kijiji Toronto once and awhile for around $7500. They aren't that hard to find, but start with a complete non rusty one as the other guys said; There a bitch to restore!

I know a guy who has an 87 El Camino that he is thinking of selling. He claims it is a mint Arizona car that has all of the options. 305 high output? I believe he is asking $6500.00. (Edmonton area.)

Ya, the LG4 305 was the optional engine, V6 would have been standard. It is possible that it might have a LM1 350 if it was a California vehicle.
