Certain eBay online auctions involve non-binding bids (for example, some real estate auctions and motor vehicle listings). Non-binding bidding isn't a formal contract between seller and buyer, but it does represent a buyer's serious expression of interest in buying the seller's item. Insincere bidding isn't permitted.
Wow, I didn't know that but there's just one more reason I'm getting pretty anti-ebay.
I have pretty much quit using it except for reference pictures, research etc. When a seller can't leave a deadbeat buyer a negative feedback on an auction site then there is a problem. And now this???
Nah, I think my buying and selling will be basically limited to forums and Kijiji.

I used to buy a lot on ebay, but my last purchase was a year ago. I guess iIve bought all I need, with the exception of a couple of things I can't seem to get anywhere (believe it or not I can't find a set of 68 Caprice fender skirts).
It's always a tough call to figure out what to keep and what to dispose of. I've got half a basement and three garages full of parts. I don't throw anything away - learned my lesson when I tossed a bunch of rust free 69 Chevy sheetmetal, only to buy a car a couple of years later that needed some of the same pieces. But it's gotten to be a huge challenge to store and manage all this stuff. May have to start selling some of it - though of course I don't want to.
As luck would have it though, there is a set of skirts on e-bay right now.
I`ve had more then a few sellers screw me over and say they would leave a neg. feed back for me if I left one for them. They must have had a lot of that going on to make the changes.
