I disagree on the front drive being better in the winter. Maybe in the city at lights but as far as pushing through snow, if this new car is as good as our Roadmaster I'll be very impressed. That car has made it through some serious snow.
Just parked beside a mid 2000's Le Sabre at the care home where my father in law lives. I parked with a the front bumpers about even and checked at the back. This car must have about 2 feet on that Buick. Wow!

Well Carl we will disagree on the front Drive Deville and the rear Drive Fleetwood. I own both so I think I can make a fair assessment of this.
The Fleetwood is absolutely terrible in the snow, I'd classify it as dangerous, the Deville is a tank.
There is no question which car I prefer to drive in the snow. even with 300 HP the Deville takes the Fleetwood hands down in my book. As a result the Fleetwood gets parked most of the time during the winter months. I have to pick my days to drive it.
I have found that I felt more comfortable with V8 rear drive and some serious snow tires.. I love the Suburban with the choice of 2wd or Fwd I drive a over 4000 FWD mini van and its a tank never been stopped in it ... hmmm I think the Deville with some snows would be ok The Fleet should be cool out in the open weight in trunk BIG snows..
