I dont have any pics yet but I picked the wife up a mint 1996 Tahoe loaded one owner truck! Now we can tow the derby car and not kill the wagon! It has 200000km but the engine was changed 70,000km ago, has all new a/c lines condendor and compressor, brand new tires, leather interior, I did the front end for him last spring, it is probably the nicest vehicle I have ever owned! Plus I got it fo $2000!biggrin

My wife drives a 99 Suburban every day. we bought it new, set us back $65,000 all in BUT it is probably the best vehicle we ever owned, still going strong with 202,000 km on original Vortec.

Its cause were always in the right spot

most people think its too much work to fix it & dont wont to spend the money on it
but when you remove the labour cost from a job you would be amazed on how inexpensive it is

my last 3 vehicles have been tradeins that supposedly needed work
the 03 corolla ($5000) needed a windshield for safety
the 95 grand cherokee ($1500) needed a wheel bearing & front brakes
the 05 liberty ($6500) needed a front machine & rear parking brakes

we (mechanics) ususally arnt to picky on what we drive either

looks like a nice ride Tiny - i always liked those tahoes
  is it the 305 or the 350 ??

It is a Vottec 5.7L plus the sheer number of cars we see every day we tend to come across all kinds of deals.

Chevy made a bunch of good trucks that are hard to kill from abut 90-99.  Lots of them still around and getting amazingly cheap.  I drive an old green 1991 forestry GMC with 350,000 kms on it and it still feels better than the new SUV that the other guys drive.

Tiny you didn't buy it you stole it. Any V8 GM motor will go 300,000 if you take care of it. I had a 88 Ch#vy with over 500.000 on it when I sold it. The valve covers had never been of the truck I was told by the guy I bought it from. One day the rad plug come loose and it over heated was never the same so I took it ta a auction and sold it.

I know it was a great deal Ive been driving it all weekend and I love it! Lots of power very nice to drive. My kids think it is awsome they all want to go for a ride in it. My 16 year old cant wait to get his hands on it LOL. The best part is it was cheap enough I will probabley let him drive it! Told him no 4x4ing I dont want to fix the thing all the time.

No 4X4ing If he listens he is a really good kid or really scared of the old man.
