Florida uses only rear license plates, I got "antique" when I finally got the 56 running and licensed, since they are way cheaper than any other plate.
No special number, just the next one in sequence from stock.
I have been led to believe that I can buy an original 1956 Florida license plate (available on evilBay) and get the car registered with that. However it would just be some random number.
Or, I could have one made up, and put it over my regular plate for cruises or whatever (once on fairgrounds property). So here are my choices (thanks to Todd for suggestions):
I wouldn't be able to run the made-up plates on the street, it would just be to have something fun at events.
What do you think?

I don't think most Floridians would get Take Off from TKOFF unless they were huge Bob and Doug fans already. They might think it means Ticked Off or T. KOFF (obviously a famous Canadian). Maybe CDN EH would work better. What is the maximum number of characters you can have?

Well I might stretch it a bit, 7 is the limit on 'real' FL plates, you can have a space in addition to the 7 characters ... but since this would be made to order and not legal anyway, I couold see if the guy could do TAKE OFF EH ...

so, unless you had the video playing, by the car, most would not get it... Hillar is correct

OK, you are right, southern boys might need a little nudge in the right direction, eh? Maybe could I put a poster from the movie Strange Brew in the window???
Or get those little action figures of Bob & Doug and put them on the rear package tray?
Or maybe just pictures of:
