On Sunday the 6th the GTO Legends Car Club toured Gary McKay's Hi-Performance Ford Collection in Tacoma, WA. I was invited to the tour along with Jim Wangers of GTO Fame. We were introduced to a fantastic collection of performance Fords of the 60s, 70s and various early Fords of the 30s and 40s. The collection has about 55 cars in a perfectly prepared brick building for storage in Tacoma's Brewery District. One car that really stood out for me was a 2008 Mustang Cobra Jet. Initially, fifty cars were built and prepared by Roush Racing strickly for drag racing. Four of these cars showed up at the 2009 Winternationals just as the did 40 years before and won. I was in attendence to see the win when I was ayoungster. Gary's car has run 10.03 in the quarter mile. Click below for more Cobra Jet info.
Saw on that un-mentionable B-J. Went for big bucks! Don Prudhomme was on the platform. p.s, where do you guys find your avitar photos of all the girls?

I remember the original Cobra Jet Mustangs in White that showed up at Drag City(Nova Scotia) in 1968. There were 2 in Canada I think. They sent everyone packing that day and ran in the finals against a 428 CJ Cougar. One of the local gas station owners bought a new one a few weeks later.
I watched "The Snake" and John Force do it uo at the NHRA finals the year before this past one. They over drove these cars, spun the $hit out of them, and thought they were done at '1000. They still banged off 10.53 ET. They have a ton of potential....
