how  do the bucket seats attach to the floor  in a hardtop.

im going to switch from  bench to buckets. ive picked up  a pr of 65  gto buckets and i have a console now too . i just need a picture to see what console mounts and bucket mounts i need
be nice to see what it looks like on a bare floor pan . (pictures)

i guess i will  have to get 2 brackets that weld  onto floor buy the hump put them in and use the exisitng outer bench seat mounting holes

How big a hurry are you in? I think my neighbour (we're on a farm, so a neighbour is within a couple of miles!) has a car that has a bare floor that was buckets. I am not sure when I would get over there to get some shots. It will be the same for any 64 or 65 GTO, Lemans, Skylark, GS, Chevelle, Cutlass or 442.

I did my 64 GTO clone many years ago and if I remember right the piece closest to the tunnel is a strip about 16" long with studs sticking up. Seems to me the outer rail used the bench seat holes but it was a while ago, I could be wrong.

i'm not that big a hurry.

just would like to see a few pictures so i have a better idea as to what i'm getting into

i think i can buy those brackets for the seats, not to sure about the console tho.

the console i have is the correct console for the 65 beaumont , just need mounts for the hump

Yes, I've seen those brackets on ebay.

I would bet the console brackets are repro too but I sure don't recall seeing them.

Have you checked any of the big Chevelle repro guys for these? Being that the stuff is the same as Chevelle I'm sure it's all out there.

As far as a remember the left side of the buckets mount to the left bench mounting stud at the front and a threaded hole at the back. The right of the bucket closest to the hump has a weld in bracket that you can buy in the aftermarket. that has two studs on it. As for the console the chevelle kit will work for the Beaumont //chevelle console. I will check tommorow to make sure and will take a photo from a stipped 65 Beaumont SD that I have.
