RE: HERE WE GO!!!!

last week a took a whole load of 10 year old cars(1999s with 250-400km) to the port in deleware by philly to go on a boat for africa.when i was unloading at the docks there must have been 200cars of the same state and condition there ready to go on the boat(looked like the cash for clunker lot).We all know that this cars wont pass any test at all,but are ok to go over their to be driven with i bet crappy gas in them, but its ok to pollute over their. It must not be the same air over their that it is here right? haha just goes to show you that its all a cash grab.makes my blood boil, our old classics i bet run better then all those sh*tters going over.

The Specialty Vehicle Association of Ontario is our only watchdog against legislation about our cars. It appears they are expanding to the rest of Canada (good!).
CLICK HERE for their website. The group was also instrumental in saving a 25000 original mile '72 Cadillac that used to belong to the Weston Family. It was donated to the "Car Heaven" program and was slated to be crushed.

Lovely, just F%^$ing LOVELY I've never heard of that happening, but can see it's been done. Noticed that they did not say have it inspected by a mechanic, but by an engineer[ not the train type] & I'll bet that was expensive. Anyone know the outcome of this incident???

Just a side comment.  I'm hoping such a letter was the result of something obvious that made the ride dangerous (such as 4 different sized tires) and not emmissions...

There is an association that acts as a watchdog relating to antique cars. It is the National Association of Antique Car Clubs of Canada. It has reps from B.C to NL. It has a website, but I haven't visited it in a long while.

We could make use of a temporary Cat Convertor, buy or find a good used one and have someone make up some flanges, bolt it on and take it in, after remove the pipe, might look stupid, but would probably help make it pass.
