And the "legitimate news" consists of murders, fires, vehicle accidents, wars, bombings, different day same stuff. With the emphasis on 'talent' as the frontman for 'news' I am not sure if ANY news is substantive enough to warrant watching.

We are all making one huge assumption and that is CNN is a news network, this is wrong, it is really an entertainment network that sometimes dabbles in news and facts, and I mean sometimes , basically the National Inquirer of television. I read the NE in the check out line just to get a few laughs, don't recall last time I had CNN on but I could use a laugh or two so I'm going to put it on right now.
