Well I was just leaving the LCBO store at 9:40 when I got the call this morning. Emergency ? I'd say so. This one is almost too embarrassing to post.
Seems the CEO forgot what he did with the cheque run that needed his signature. I signed the cheques before I left, it was a run of $427,000 accounts payables. Not a good thing to lose one cheque signed by the CFO but the entire run ?
Anyway, I get in there talk to the staff and the boss. I figure they are in his office or a worst on his desk at home. Calls his wife, nada !
Ok, I tell the Controller to rip his office apart once I get him out for a coffee, easy plan. After about 15 minutes at the Tim's down the street I get the buzz buzz on my hip....mission accomplished, located unsigned by him.
My nickname in the office among the boys is Mr. Wolfe, I'll let someone else explain that one.

Dec 29th 11:20 am, I get the call for today's emergency. No e-mail or network connectivity. It's been 25 minutes and so far our tech can't fix. Looks like I'll be putting on my coat and going into the office....
