Project 66

Hello fellow car lovers. First i would like to say im new to this site and have enjoyed reading the postings. I am a former owner of 2  1967 Beaumonts. lots of great memories with these cars. To bad my  ex wifes got them LOL. No just kidding. But i really do miss them. At present im in the  process of a tear down  with my younger brothers 1966 SD beaumont. I am having a heck of a time trying to get parts for the restoration project. I contacted GM Canada and they really couldnt help me out. What im looking for at present is the rear quarter panel Sport Deluxe emblems. Also rear quarter window weather stripping and trunk weather stripping. I would like to purchase parts in CANADA please. If you could be of assitance please feel free to contact me at my E-Mail address. Thanks.

Welcome aboard. I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you in your search for parts. Don't forget to post photos of your brothers Beaumont. We love photos!

I have a new set of door and trunk weatherstrips for a 66 beaumont I can sell-I first bought these then got a good deal on a complete set from a fellow member that won them.

Welcome to Poncho Canada! I have a 66 Chevelle so I know your car pretty well. As the Chevelle and the Beaumonts a very close, try the Crosscanadaparts.com site and I think you will have to look up Chevelle parts, the weatherstrips will be the same. Your emblems should show up used on this site, someone should have a set.

I believe the quarter panel scripts are reproduced. You guys in Ontario will know better but I think it's Dale's Musclecar or a name similar to that.

Oh, and I almost forgot, welcome here!!! You have most certainly come to the right place for Canadian Poncho help.

P.S.  After having discussions with my brother about the rear quarter emblems he said that the emblems on his car came in one script not two. Is that the case ? Like to keep it as it was produced. Thanks

Somehow one piece doesn't sound right for a 66 SD. Are they in writing like the ones pictured here with the red background?

Ok, yes, if they are writing then they should be 2 piece. I don't think there was ever a one piece 66 written script. Does he have anything left of the old ones that he can check to be sure?

My brother does not have the emblems. He was sure they were one piece. Im not so sure either. His location  on the car shows  two locations for the emblems. Two on top and two a little lower . Im sure they would be 2 scripts not one. Thanks for your input.

Would a picture of the back of the "Sport" and "Deluxe" help any?

I can come up with that if it would help.
