Forgive this intrusion from the 1984, but I've simply got to include Kim Mitchell. If you've ever had your heart broken, you'll get this song. If you haven't....stay tuned. wink

Damn, there's a lot of great music here in the Great White North.

Nobody has posted any BTO yet, so here you go. The actual name of this is "Blue Collar for those that may not know. BUT, we'll dedicate this to Carl S and all our other Mani-toboggan CP members.

(I like the blues-y/Santana-esque vibe)

Yeah Randy always has a steak of jazz in his chops when he could get away with it.  Learned it from a legendary Canadian jazz guitarist named Lenny Breau who was the son of an old Canadian country singer Harold (Lone Pine) Breau and Betty Cote, (Cody)

One of my favorites, an icon of 70's Canadiana that never seems to grow old...

David Foster and the female singer were both from Victoria B.C.! Her last name was Winger. I worked with her dad in 1972!

The original makeup of The Band consisted of four Canadians: Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, and Rick Danko, and one American, Levon Helm.

They began life as The Hawks, backing Ronnie Hawkins, later reformed under a few other names, and then moved on to work with Bob Dylan.

Does it get any better than The Band?

And now, Robbie by his-own-self. wink

Oh yeah, what a three piece band that was!

Now here's one for the new decade from the last decade.  The video isn't much but the sentiment is what we should all shoot for!  This is a NFLD group called the Fables with probably the best trad Canadian singer out there, Darcy Broderick, belting it out!

Ah what the heck, this isn't exactly mainstream but this fascinated me when I first saw her in the late 60's and she still is an amazing person.  Anyone who has clanked his 3/4 inch wrenches together at the start of Honky Tonk Women or Low Rider will apreciate that you can make music out of anything.

I think the guys who pasted the airtanker video together were looking about as deep as the title.  According to them, it seemed to fit the kind of guy who would do this for a living.
