Carl, I have a 1990 GMC Z71 with 12,000 km on it. Still smells like new inside. I`ve got a list wanting that one.

We have a customer like that too. Black only.

She has a 98 X cab Z71 6.5 diesel, under 100km, mint, black

02 Duramax x cab, just over 60 km

Now she bought a brand new Camaro RS/SS off our dealership a few months ago. Won't likely see over 2k per year. Guess what colour it is???

And speaking of the engine rebuild.......

I plan to go to the shop in the morning and get some photos of the new parts and build. I can spare about 30 minutes in the morning then I can head back before closing to hopefully get some shots of the completed engine before it goes back in the truck Tuesday. Should be driving it by Wednesday. biggrin

Got to the shop at 8:45 am. Found my engine on a stand pretty much reassembled. Tony said with his son's Hockey Tournament he got behind so he came in at 4:30 am to build my engine. Son's team made Semi Finals too. Notice another Cadillac STS in this morning from Marvin Star, which was a big Pontiac Cadillac dealer, now making a go as a Pre-Owned superstore, but still servicing previous GM customers.

Anyway Tony took pictures of the build so he will e-mail me later. Looks pretty nice, he is going to clean up the intake, it's black molded plastic! For now this is what I have to show....

I know, a friend uses one as her farm vehicle on my reccomendation, I told her to buy some gnarly tires which she did and now it is used for hauling wood and pulling stuff around, ploughing the driveway.

I'll complete this thread, even though I am sad about the loss of our friend. Engine is strong, reminds me of the day I picked up a brand new SS back in the days, that stump pulling power off idle with just a little gas, the low whine of  the parts working perfectly.  Got to go easy then change the oil at 500 km, going to treat this baby right.
