Hi everyone. I am looking for a 1978 to 1981 chevrolet malibu for a day driver, have about $1600 to spend, not looking for a mint car obviously, but no rot box either. How rare is it to find one with a 3 or 4 speed stick? any info on these cars would be great, I know its not a pontiac, but they were built at the oshawa assembly plant, right.
2-DOOR 4-SPEED CARS ARE QUITE RARE. I HAVE A '78 ONE OF 94 AND A '79 ONE OF 142. A BUDDY HAS A '80 ONE OF 124. THESE ARE CANADIAN #'S. THEY MAKE GREAT DRIVERS, AND EVEN BETTER WITH THE F-41 SUSPENSION. IT HAS BEEN QUITE A WHILE SINCE I HAVE SEEN ONE LOCALLY FOR SALE.

The one that was for sale in Ontario is still for sale, but his price firm. i spent a month or more on this car, if I lived in Ontario I would buy it. But to buy it and ship here to Calgary and oop inspection puts the car a little too high. One of the members here on this site looked at the car said it was decent, but had a lifter noise. The member and his wife who looked at the car were super and I trusted them 100%. The owner of the malibu, is away in Flordia untill the 16th of January.
1981 chevy malibu classic. Its in ok shape, boared out 350 in it,steel crank, 411 posi might need a little bit of work but not too much. email me for more info Victoria City(Where is this?)
Thanks for the insight. I would love a 4 door 3 speed malibu, was that gray one in cottam still for sale, some one said that it had bad frame or something,, really want one of these cars for my daily driver, any help would be great, thanks.
