Did he need to tub it to fit the 28"s under there? the more I sit and think, the less cutting I want to do.I do happen to have a stroker ,A 377 by chance.13-1,scat bottom end, blah blah, glide with a 4000 stall converter kevlar band etc etc.puts out 556 hp at the crank w/o the juice.Traction may be a problem.I am liking the bench seat idea, sleepers are pretty neat.

It is pretty damn clean. The original plan was to get a nova [lots around] and pro steet it to the extreme. This one fell in my lap for 3 g's when the owner saw the chevelle I was doing.I am going to feel like a jerk if I butcher it up.I mean it still has  a working am radio in it!Plus his mom and dad are still around and will see it every now and again!but I am still putting the stroker in it!!!

Yes, I would suggest too that this is the wrong car to be cutting on.

At the bottom of the cowl tag, could that be M35? That is usually where they put the M35 for powerglide.

m35 sounds likely.definetly 35, so that works out pretty good . I agree it is too tight to hack up,I am kind of tired of the whole prostreet thing,I think I;m going to keep the old front clip and stuff in the shop attic, update it a bit and drop my powertrain in.thanks for your guys input, glad I found your site.posted a front suspension site in chassis, thanks again

I think you have the mesaage , that you can make it go fast w.o "cutting it"  lol
Heres a photo of the father/son friends down the street..   They did put a narrow rear in the race car,  but the other 2 run 11's 12's easy w.o cutting  Carl

They ran a Impala 12 bolt with Tornado fwd rims  and 28x9.00-15 slicks!! (they are cheep)
They then scored a narrow rear and and ran 28x10.5-15 on 8 inch aluminum..   Their street cars (sons) runs  11.30's on P235/60R-15 Drag radials and Caltracks

Dads runs 12:70 on "wore out" drag radials(they are cheep) with 327-275 and 3:73's

car ran 14.10 with $350.00 old shool bus stock 350

and 10.99 with "good" motor

car has a 3 link home made traction set up

Car was unbelievably consistant   was track champion 3 out of 5 years
