55-56 rear fender side trim


For the lower-cost cars, there were 3 ovals on the spear-shaped body line on the side of the rear fenders:

I am pretty sure that originally these were red inside (the red on mine, shown above, is long gone):

The question is, was that reflective tape? Or some kind of paint? Or what?

If anyone knows, please let me know.

         I would "guess" it was paint   there was no tape technologie in 1956

yes, Just plain red. The dash is black and red.
