Yeah, kinda cool though. Nothing that fat steelies and red lines to go with the dog dishes wouldn't cure...

Notice that it states the Sports Option includes a silver-effect rear cove area.
18 colours in Canada rather than the 15 offered in the U.S. Notice as well the presence of Plum Mist (most say it is a 67-only colour but it was borrowed from Pontiac) and Blue Charcoal (1966 Oldsmobile colour).
There is no 300 Deluxe series so the base wagon was moved to the base 300 series. The base 300 wagon & convertible are exclusive Canadian offerings.
It doesn't say it but the 396 includes 7.75-14 blackwall tires (P65 rayon) and offers whitewall versions of the same as an option (P62). Also offered are 7.75-14 nylon blackwalls (P60) & whitewalls (P61). There are no red stripe tires factory installed on a 1966 big block Canadian Chevelle or Beaumont.
The 300 convertible picture is a very crude airbrushhing of a red 1966 U.S. SS396 convertible that was removed from a background & had the trim airbrushed out.

In 1966 they built 499 Malibu SS coupes with the 396, plus 50 Malibu SS convertibles with the 396. All the rest of the Malibu SS figures are not readily available; they can only be extropolated from the Malibu Sport Coupe (six & V8) and Malibu convertible (six & V8) production figures.

That's an interesting enthusiast's site dealing with the LS3 and LS6 announcements for the 1970 Chevelle. I wonder if the LS3 (sold as 400 c.i. - actually 402 c.i.) was installed in any Canadian Chevelles from 1970 - 1972?
And, here's an interesting item I've overlooked on build sheets for years. This 1970 Chevelle (U.S. build) mentions the air cleaner decals as well as the LS3 engine. I would have thought that simply seeing the LS3 on the sheet would have automatically called for the correct decals (400 - 330HP), but in those pre-automation days, I guess the guy on the line was pretty much flying blind.
