Fender Comparison 63 and 64

Howdy,

Well I have a bit of a "frankenstien",  1964 Laurentian.  One of the PO replaced(fender bender on the drivers side)  both fenders with 1963 Parisienne fenders.  Other then trim holes are there any differences between the '63 Parisienne fender and '64 Laurentian fenders?   To me the fender lines and hoodlines don't flow properly but I could be wrong.

Cheers

Tracy

On my frankenstien the hood and nose panel are 1964 Laurentian while the fenders are 1963 Parisienne.

Could the 64 hood be shorter then a 63 hood.  I've been comparing pictures from 1963pontiac.com and 1964pontiac.com and it would appear the '63 hood might be longer and more rounded over at the front.

The first one is 63 the second a 64.

There are big differences between the 63 & 64 hoods.

The 63 hood is blunt across the nose, they are very different. Grills and hoods have to stay together year to year.

We would like to see pics now, it's doable , just never seen it yet

I will take some pics... I just don't know if I should just trade the fenders for some 64s or make it work.

I have a 64 and a 63 here, just not seeing how the hood would look right against the fender, the hood shape is coped into the fender??? so..If that lines up. might work?

pics of what you have will tell the story.

I'm sure you will be able to find 64 fenders and grills if need be, what province are you in?

I'm crying over the pictures there. I might have go visit my aunt and uncle. Why can't they they be here on the west coast (BC).

Anyways when I bought the car the hood and fenders were in a rough mock up.  The hood wasn't bolted up and was pulled forward so it didn't look out of place... But once I started reassembly I was suddenly aware of the issue.

I would like to buy some '64 fenders or trade my 63 fenders for some 64.
