68-70 Acadian Value Help!

I'm looking at a project and am wondering what the value of a full set of 68-70 Acadian Emblems would cost to purchase on the open market. The Canadian only emblems, and the interior stuff like the steering wheel, and dash emblems are the question mark because the rest is nova right?

I am thinking that all that you listed plus the door panel emblems are unique as well, aren't they?

I'm more of a 62-67 guy but I know at least the upper level interior had emblems on the door. Maybe the entry level interior didn't, I'm not sure.

If in doubt, you could contact Fake68 on here, he has a 68 Acadian.

What years are the same trim. Is there any interchange, and is there any examples of adds to confirm the cost of putting this trim together?

I believe there is a number of different pieces, as in each year being unique. I have the parts book if you happen to have pictures of any or part numbers. I would be happy to try to help with I.D. on any pieces.

I paid about $350 for a set of pretty decent 68 trim about 4 years ago. There are odds and ends around cheaper but it would take some time to "piece" a set together.

The rear "acadian" plates for 68-69 are tough to find in decent shape... I'm starting to think they came factory with pits.

Is there a rear piece below the trunk line on a 70 Acadian SS? That's the year I'm looking at. The SS emblems are nova but what about the rocker chrome?

The SS trunk piece on the 70 is impossible to find. I heard of one being sold for $250 but the seller had no idea what he had.

As far as I know, the hood spear, names on the hood and side are all unique to 1970. I have picked up some used ones for about $20 each. The engine call outs are unique to the Acadian and call run anywhere from $20 on up. The steering wheel for an SS is the same as a Nova, the door panels are unique to 1970.

I am looking for the interior door emblems and so far have not found any.

The dash name is, I think, similar to other years. (68-71)

The rocker panels for 1970 are the same as a nova as is the hood grilles and the front grille.

Can be found, just a matter of how much you want to spend and how soon you want them.

If you want, I can forward some pictures of my car for reference.

There's a Canada flag on the steering wheels so I'm not sure it's the same as a Nova. Sounds like there's a wide spread on the cost of the emblems.

The SS car has an SS steering wheel.  All of the SS i have seen have the SS wheel.  The maple leaf is on the base car.

I can't tell for sure but it doesn't look like the 69 Acadian SS has the SS on the steering wheel. It looks like a leaf? Are the door panel Acadian scripts actual emblems or just pressings? Does the dash emblem come off or is it part of the pad?

Yep, that is my car.  1970 had one leaf only.  69 had three.  68 and 71 had the script. I did not know that about the 69 SS steering wheel.

The 70 brochure I have shows the nova ss wheel, which is what i have.

I have some 69 door panels that i would love to trade for 70 door panels.  If anyone is interested.  Or I would even buy the 70 panels.  Would like the custom ones, but would take the base ones.

These cars were so different from year to year.  Kind of weird.
