1968 Parisienne Ragtop parts

Hi - my first post of this excellent website.

I have a couple of 1968 Pontiac Parisienne ragtops that are being parted.

I also have a complete and functional Grande Parisienne front end.

Happy to trade.

What shape are the rear quarter panels in on the ragtops?

The quarters on the 2+2 were so rusty they literally stayed in the barn when we pulled the car out.

The quarters on the yellow one are full of bondo - these would only do for someone who was very very very desperate.

I can send you pics if you want.

It had a 12 bolt with a bar. F41? What motor did it have?
I also noticed the car seemed to have 69' door panels.

and I think '69 seats as the release button is in the middle of back, not on the side like a 67.

Good eye - it was a 68 2+2 with 396, tilt, PW, TH 400, F41 and tape player - someone added the 69 stuff - buckets, door panels and console.

DSC06028.JPGWelcome Dave, I like how you have recylced the ol Pontiac,, now that was rusty ! mother nature gives em only so much time when there not cared for!

I was driving around Sooke Area a couple of years ago,, and out the corner of my eye,, I thought I seen something carish..turned out to be a 70's chevy van,, hard to tell from all the moss !!

I see you have some very nice cars,, is that a 68 Kingswood wagon ?? BBC ? plus the other nice stuff in the garage.

Just surfing through some older adds and I see louvers on the blue 2+2 fender. Do you have a full set?
Mine were missing.

That car is now sitting on the lot as a 2010 Honda -

the louvers however were spared and you can call a fellow by the name of Steve at (250) 748-5547 and ask him if he still has the louvers.

Good luck!

I sure would be interested in that 2+2 wheel disc on the '68. Need one to make a set.

I think Steve may have kept one hubcap as well - try his number and good luck!

I tried selling, then giving the stuff away before I crushed it - but that was before I found this site.  I wish I could have done it all over again and I'd have offered that stuff to anyone here!

Phoned up Steve about the louvers. Says had he known what he had, he would
have kept them. Sounds like they also are part of that 2010 Honda.
Thanks anyway JC

Thanks for the reply re the wheel disc. I'm new at this posting thing and don't know many names on the site. Who is Steve and can you give me a number to contact him?
When I got my car it was missing a cap and I've been looking for a replacement for about 8 years.

Check the post just above for Steve's number - JC already called him and it sounds like that hub cap is already part of that Honda.

Sorry guys - never again will I just crush Parisienne stuff!

Ouch!  I feel that -especially when I just got two more of those darn things!

I am reminded once again that I wished I had found this website earlier!

If it makes it any better, I saved some of the 2+2 emblems and the 396 emblems...?

(lol) Nah, man, just kidding with you!!!! But rightly deserved... (lol) But I still have to get it though... Did you see the '68 on the new episode of criminal minds last night???

Question though, does your rear fins have a center support in them? Mine, the one off of that Caprice wagon doesn't and it resonates terribly down the highway over a certain speed especially going against the wind.............

Whew!  Had me worried there!

I haven't had that problem with either one of the wagons that has that on the back.

If you want any more of those gold Poncho wheels let me know - I have three in decent shape...I will not toss them!

Nope - but why not get a nice CDN-built SS427 project car to keep you busy during the winter?

I already have both of my 67's to keep me busy for many winters to come. I'm strictly a 67 guy wink.
