Shipping Items

Just curious as how a person would get an item (car door) from Ballwin Missouri
to Alberta Canada.

I have to get item picked up,packaged then shipped.
I might be able to get person to drop of maybe.

Has aanyone went thru this process?confuse

Are you buying it from a stranger? friend?  It obviously needs to be wrapped...
I had a hood shipped from N.B.
My friend boxed it and sent with trucking company..
Where is your border crossing?
Is there a package place there?

Call UPS. They'll pick it up, package it. and sent it to ya. As usual they're screw you at the border with fees but they'll bring it to your front door.

Watch out for UPS brokerage fees if they use UPS Standard.

Yes, UPS will bring it to your door but you will have to bend over pretty hard. The fees associated with that are extreme.

I hope the door was free. I had three emblems shipped by UPS and the bill was 130.00 or so. The broker fee was 65.00 and the rest was gst because they charged me the purchase price per emblem rather than the purchase for three. Imagine the worst and double it, trust me.

I sent $299 for a signed plate by Carol Shelby to put on the dash of my 07 Shelby. All the money is donated to Carol`s Kids. I sent it here rather then my US mail box. Ups hit me for $96 bucksno Worst yet was they made a mistake and sent me another plate a week latter

So how do we get it thru to people not to ship UPS across the border?
I ordered at part from a supplier in PA and specified ship USpostal service only. The UPS guy showed at the door and I sent him away. After yelling at him I explained it wasn't him personally but rather the company he works for. his comment was that he's heard it all before.
DO NOT SHIP UPS ACROSS THE BORDER!

Yup I will stand by that statement, been there done that and got stung. DHL or Purolator or Fedex is much better than UPS dipwads.

If you ship UPS Express, you don't pay the brokerage fees. Just taxes.
But it is more expensive, but you do get it quicker.

Otherwise look for USPS to ship it.

Fed Ex is just as bad as UPS.

I got something shipped from DHL before, it was only a 40 dollar DVD set. and they billed me a month later almost 45 dollars in fees and taxes.

When did you get a hard top? I thought you only had a sedan and a 4 door.
