RE: 65 to 66 body panels needed

I no the panels, and thats the reason i make up body bucks but it takes so much time just to make a form up that i was hopeing someone would have finally gotten smart, after all we know their a farely large following of American cousins out thier and they rust in the same places. wagons i have rear quarter bucks for regular bodies i guess are next. i had a pair of cross canada panels my panels are a lot better.

Hey Jim, welcome here from another 66 Grande Parisienne lover! Currently I am without one but I've had 2 over the years and am wanting another one.

Any details on your car for us?

Maybe you can post some pictures and info in the "Welcome Aboard" section?

I know I will be waiting....

Last time i made a buck up it took six months just for the lower quater on the burgandy wagon. the actual panel took to days too make and one day to install. i can't emagine what a full quarter takes but i need some so i guess i have no choice. i'll post some wagon production photos.

1965 Pontiac Parisienne custom sport convertible

Hi friends,
this is my 65 convertible. I purchased the car  in 2002 in Phoenix, AZ.

The car was first sold at
1965 Highview Motord LTD Pontiac-Buick-GMC  GALT-ONTARIO.
.
The car was nearly complete, but needed new fenders front rear , doors and complete floors.

SO i bought all outer sheets from my friend Steve at Pontiac heaven..fenders, doors and rear quarters.

Nice AZ rust free parts ..mostly from Catalina and Grand Prix.

The parts are 100 percent same as the canadian cars   biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Hi Marty, The Cross Canada panels that are sold for these are terrible. Better to source cut offs from the south or make lower repair panels.

There's a market for them. I've had a few requests over the years especially 65-66 but also 67-68.

if ive only got a few to make up ill free hand the bends and then match them up against the originals, if i have alot or complicated bends i need to make bucks up and that takes time. ive only made them up for the wagon quarters for now

RE: 65 to 66 wagon body panel production and install

That's not easy work. It's good that you are able to make them as I understand they can't be bought anymore.

I was cleaning up some old stuff  a few days ago and found an old Cross Canada catalogue from 1980 or 82. At that time they actually listed patch panels for 65 and 66 Pontiac quarters, as well as a good selection from 61-64 and 68-70. I guess they are no longer available now??
