All I think about that is blahblah.gif.  I guess he shouldn't put it on the internet for the world to see.  Probably doesn't want to sell it that bad.... clueless.gif

What trim is missing from this car and are those the stock bucket seats? I'm not bashing the car, I'm just curious.

stock console...for a 66/67, all the SD trim is missing ?  Seats I believe are original?? They are the same as the 64 GTO/ Lemans.

The console appears to be a 65 Acadian automatic console.

But I see a clutch pedal in the car, too...confuse

I think the console is correct I have two 63's mine are the same, it looks as if someone painted the center inset on the consol red, keep in mind these consoles are all steel and the center chrome/finned sections were bad for pitting so painting was the quick and easy way out, the seats look original for the 63 as well

ok correction, I was looking at the picture Roger posted it is correct for the 63 , now looking at the actual kijiji add I see it does look 66/67 console and I remember this car from before it does have a clutch pedal and an automatic, something strange about this one for sure, still a nice looking car though

Lowbow

I am fairly sure that is a 65 only console. The turned up part at the front is longer on 65 than on 66-67. I can't post any pics right now but I can later if nobody else does.

475033n_20.jpegImage from kijiji,  shows the long nose console,  so this is a 65??  what years had the 2 piece all pot metal ones.  63/64 are the same ,, I thought 65 also had it's own 2 piece pot metal , then 66/67 like pictured??

Also,  the 8.2 diff like pictured in this car, that didn't happen till 65? is that right?

Yes, that is a later rear in the car. Likely a 65-67 diff.

Here is a shot of both styles. I realize they are for 4 speeds but the front part that kicks up is the same. For years I had no idea 65 was not the same as 66-67.

The right console is from a 66-67, the left 2 are 65. If you look carefully you can see the kick up is a bit shorter on the right console.

I hope this helps.

The first year of Acadian or Nova console for a 4 speed is 65.

Strange as it seems, a 64 Nova SS factory 4 speed car comes with buckets and a floor shifter that looks like it belongs in a bench seat car.

I may try to find a picture but they are somewhat rare.

Carl,  Just saw this on steve's, I think this is the '64 shifter you were talking about.

Plain looking but cool.

Yes, I saw that too.

Joel, I had a guy email me last night (off Steve's) that has a red 65 SS 283 factory four speed, originally Crocus Yellow. He's from Newfoundland. Have you seen the car? Looks stock, absolutely beautiful car. I gave him the link for here. Not sure if he will join but he will stop in at least.
