The 1967 Beaumont was 1 month old 396 4sp. Blast to drive.

Are you kidding us? A 396 2 door post 67 Beaumont built with a 396??? You bought it new like that???

Why does it have headrests??????

also,  wheels would be body color from the factory with dogdish caps.

But,  boy do they look alot better black!  awesome car,  but could not be a 396 from factory.

Thanks Todd.    I ordered the 409 new from Hogans on the Danforth. The Beaumont from City Buick. Radio deleat, rubber mats, but black vinyl bench seat. I replaced my 1962 right hand drive mini cooper in sedan racing with this car at Mosport and some Quebec tracks. I 30over bored the engine ran a 427 intake and 3 barrel Holly, headers and chamber exhaust. drove it to the track, put on the Goodyear track tires, raced and then drove back home. It sure gave the Comstock Mustangs alot of grief.

The Beaumont was a factory 396/4 speed car? Wow!   Do you have any of the original documentation?

Sorry Todd all documentation was lost years ago. My parents were friends of the owners of City Buick. I remember The sales manager Randy Heins saying I would not be as happy with the Beaumont after owning the 409 cs. The 396 was only offered in the 2dr hardtop model, but Randy said it should not be a problem ordering it in a 2dr post. The original red rims where replaced with 14" full size Pontiac wagon rims, painted black and white walls added (nylon construction). The head rests were black add ons. The original Goodyear black walls melted away 2 days after it was delivered. I still have the dog dish caps. If there are no original post 396s around then they should have talked to Randy. I kind of remember the car costing around $2,800. Some where in our 8mm movie file there are action shots of the car with the roll bar, goodyear Bluestreak race tires on 1968 corvette 15" rims. I built my own ram air system by using a single carb 409 dual inlet air cleaner, some ducting and opening up the edges of the pot metal grill beside the headlight rings. It really helped let air in to the 3 barrel Holley at speed.

Cool, i thought those wheels looked a bit deeper.

ya, that would have been the only way to get a BB,   know someone at the dealer that could pull some strings.

Do you still own this car today?

The Beaumont was sold to a gentleman in Quebec in 1969. I then purchased a new 427 tri power Corvette side pipes and all. Not the best winter car for Toronto. It gave me some moments to remember. Today I keep all documents for my new cars.

Wow very nice, quite the transformation. I would suggest it for a monthly feature car, that way we would get the story with it. Well done.

Does it not work the same? I don't have apple. After uploading the file click "insert" and the pic is inserted into the text area. Size depends on size of original photo from my experience.
