 John Petrie. I remember back in 1971 he raced a white 1971 Dodge Demon in the Pro Stock circuit. It ran a set of Keystone wheels.

It is interesting to see that 1965 Falcon with the really hot 289. Mustangs were produced in the U.S. at that time, so to give buyers a break perhaps, Ford Canada offered Oakville-built Falcons with factory solid lifter 289 Hipo 271 horse engines. Exclusive to Canada, only 7 ended up being built, and the cars weren't considered as being factory built to U.S. racing bodies.

Ford engines normally came with a 1 year warranty, but the 289 Hipo was only warranteed for 3 months. Ford knew how they were going to be used.

me and my buddy wrecked out a roll over 65 falcon 289 271 hp 4 spd 9 inch diff, it was i fixer but we only knew to pull it apart for parts for his 64 comet at the time.

 Do you recall where these scanned photos are from? Looks to be from a brochure. Is see that John Petrie unfortunately passed last year.
