What happened to my 1970 Bonneville 455 engine !

Here it is : Chuck from Edmonton AB got it rebuilt with a set of Kauffman racing aluminium heads at SDPerformance (American Pontiac engine rebuilder) of Chilliwack BC. This factory 4 bolt main engine has an aftermarket forge crank as well and is pushing in the neighbourhood of 500 HP, It's going to reside in his wife 1968 Firebird race car, I hope she wins alot of race with it ... It probably displaces more than 455ci now.

I just found out it's a bored and stroked 466.

too bad the deal I was working for the 69 GTO didn't work out, as that engine would have been a good starting point.   I'm glad Chuck put it to good use.

Nice i love the motor ,those ponchos are torque monsters. I have just recieved a bunch of parts from SD performance and am building a 400 stroker (464) and i am going with a full roller cam, valvetrain setup. The owner Dave Bissop is a nice guy to deal with and super knowledgeable, its also nice to deal with a Canadian supplier.
