A sad sight indeed. Must have been a sweet car at one time in silver and a decent SB. And someone even cared for it enough to at least try at building home made shelter for it... This era is starting to grow on me.

That was a super buy at $500. I would love to have the car for parts in case mine got damaged. I hope the guy who bought it uses it for more than junk. Hopefully, he is a Canadian Poncho!
A fellow came into work last week who owns a 57 Laurentian 2 door hardtop. His father bought it new and gave it to him in the early 1960's. Apparently the car is super solid and is about to get a fresh coat of paint . He is not online but said he'd try to get on the site. They are nice cars.
You say it would be a good deal at $500, but would the car not be completly rotten from sitting on the ground unprotected? A nightmare to roll out? Or would it be just from what you could recover off the car in parts?

Lots & lots of good parts = good deal. If the car is salvagable, that's a bonus!

Hey guys, I'm the "lucky" buyer of this small piece of history. In my opinion I could'nt have gone wrong at $500.00. The car was parked in 98, exactly where pictured, due to transmission troubles. Sitting on the ground has took its tole on the rockers and floor pans. Of course a few pieces that were removed are missing but there are also extra parts that the fellow had collected over time. Will have it on the hoist next week to give her a good look see and decide its future. Sure hope we can restore her or use most of her to restore another. If anyone has some good leads on possible parts or parts cars i would appreciate it.
will start taking pics when we get her in the air. Glad to be here and i'm sure i'll be leaning on a few of you for some advice from time to time.
By the way, I hauled a small cat to where the car was, made a road into it and pulled it out to the main road so I could load it. What car guys won't do!!
Welcome to the site. I'm sure you will get your money's worth one way or the other. Noticed from your bio you're from good hockey and fastball country. I played against guys from there in my youth quite awhile ago!

Welcome, and yes, car guys will do what ever they have to do!

IT is VERY possible, I bought it from Big River area, the car has been around for awhile. I would guess it was built in the early 70's . the engine is a 62 327.
from the colors I've seen on the car , greed, red , purple , green ,, and now white.
the Interior would not have been a cheap job, everything is stitched, they even took apart the dash and put 'red engine turned decal ' behind all the gauges and radio...crazy!!
I'd love to know more about it's history, any stories of pics from the old days.

I'm a collector...not a builder!!Located in sunny central Saskatchewan at the lakehead!
that would be the one that you were looking at buying ?
Would it be OK to use as a donor for my hardtop? bumpers ? grill etc.? how are the floor? OR is it too nice to part out?
Any bites on your 57 4 sale?
The one I was looking at is supposed to be very solid. It even has the canada specific dog dish hubcaps.
I have always had a real soft spot for the 58's and a 58' Pathfinder 2 dr has shown up that I would like to get. Too bad its in Regina or I would have already bought it.
I would need to sell the 57' to get the 58' - just to make room. I still have the black 57' 4dr hardtop that I sold to my friend in my shop!
I have had a few bites on my 57' hardtop but nothing solid yet. Its only on this site right now for sale. I bought a bunch of parts for it and have been working on it here and there, but its really not getting the attention it deserves. The 55' is taking all of my time. But if it doesn't sell, I won't get the 58' and it will end up being built this summer.
