it works well but be sure to seal every seam or you'll have sand everywhere. Its worse with glass beads! I used clear silicone. Once it's sealed it works pretty good. Make sure you put those clear plastic covers over the glass or you'll ruin it first time you use it. For the money it works great. I have been using my heavily the last few days cleaning up brake parts. It's time consuming doing big items like rims though. Small parts are great. I recommend glass beads over sand. You get less dust with glass beads making it easier to see.

I also have the same cabinet and Todd is correct silicone every seam real well or you will have a sand siv. I wired in a small halogen light and stuck it in the top this is better than the junk that they call a light which is extra and not included with the cabinet.

Did you do anything to protect the lense of your light? I agree the lighting sucks. I have one of those magnetic LED lights that I wired to an ac adaptor. I put it in a sandwich bag to protect the lense. I wouldnt mind something even brighter.

I use kleen blast in my big blaster. It's iron ore slag. Low dust and agressive cutting . Thanks for the feedback.

You mention using the clear plastic covers over the glass to protect the glass from becoming etched and frosted , good idea.

Here's something else that does the same thing , just cheaper. Buy one of those storm window kits with the 2-sided tape and thin plastic. Tape around the outside of the glass and then place the thin plastic over top. Quick shot with the heat gun and its all tight and taunt. Can get lots and lots out of 1 window kit.

Good idea. We have some of that around here (with a 120 year old house there's no shortage of drafts!). The "official" plastic cost me 30 bucks for 5 or 6 sheets!
