Wanted sunvisor bracket for 70 rag

Looking for the passenger sunvisor bracket which also doubles as the latch point for the rag roof on a 70 pontiac 2+2. I don't know what other model will fit, and I haven't had any luck finding anything on the net. what i've seen is that they don't make anything aftermaket later then 64 for impala. and the chevelle doesn't match either.

If you don't find it locally, I can probably find you one from a 67.

Just let me know if I need to go hunting for it.

69 & 70 are the same, 67 is different than 69 & 70.   Not sure about 68.

here's what you're looking for:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-70-IMPALA-CONVERTIBLE-SUNVISOR-LATCH-BRUSHED-RH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3efd0560beQQitemZ270532960446QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I didn't realize 65 - 70 are the same (but it does make sense).  I thought Rick's 67 looked different than mine, but maybe because they're chrome they just look a bit different.

69 - 70 are definately not chromed.

it will fit for now. explains the different part number. guess i'll keep my eyes open for a chrome one for the drivers side. wonder why i didn't see that i was all over the net looking. i'm figuring after shipping, duty and currency exchange kinda pricey for a little latch. but thats the nature of the beast dealing with antique cars and living in canada.

I was at the farm today,, these are on a 69 Parisienne. Couldn't get them off, someone used a flat screw , got the Phillips out OK. I will have to drill most likely?? to get them off.

This little gem should be parted out as soon as possible while all the trinketry is still half decent on it. Especially with the roof down all the power windows assemblies should be gotten out of there sooner rather than later. What a find and a half for parts! WOW!

this is how I found this GEM 12 years ago ,, and rescued it, along with it's sister 69 2 + 2 . I don't even want to tell the story of the 2 + 2 , but I will in another thread....with a pic.

I towed it to my folks farm , I should part it out , and properly store the parts. would have been a good idea before the tree fell across the windshield pillar YIKES !!

I have the front bumper and grills safely stored , endura strip is gone already.

Someday I'll make a list of the parts.
