Spring must be here

What a crazy winter, have seen golfers out for the past week on my way home from work, grass is greening up, and saw a few cars out on the weekend.  Maybe there is such a thing as global warming. One friend of mine said he's had his car out every month this winter. There hasn't been an inch of frost in the ground for probably over a month now.  Too bad they had sanded the roads a couple times or it would be great cruising.  But who knows what's in store, could snow a foot next week.  Like these 8 and 9 degree temperatures though.

We have snow on the ground, and snowing as I type!
We will get some melt in March
April will be muddy and soggy
May gets dry enough to drive car over lawns to the road
June will be the first, we can have a clean car, and road, to drive it on.
I hope to run up over 100 miles, on each car, this year!

I was wondering if you were just driving up the value of your cars by keeping them as low milers but now you are saying you have a reason for it.  I hope you'll be on the road alot sooner than that.  It's a shame to have that horsepower just sitting in the garage.

you are correct..
It a shame to drive them here,(Clinton) on sand covered streets, that keeps the cars filthy..
The street sweeper does not show until end April
I have a side lawn to my garage, and its not drive on able  til April
Our season is really June July Aug...
if its a hot S/W Ontario season with 30days of high humidity, I chose to drive my a/c vehicles

Driving my vinyl seat hot rod in 90-100 degree weather is not my idea of a fun time (anymore)......no
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I bought my Strato Chief in N.B. in Mar 2006 an drove it 1185 miles home!  Since then, I have driven it 370 miles...  I bought Ventura II in July 2008  Since then I drove it  86 miles....

If I were honest with myself, I should sell them both, and pay my bills and go Camping..hmm
I don't go to the drags anymore(8 hours sitting in sun, to make 2 passes) and cruise nights and car shows are totally depressing.

The city must have read my thread as I came home from hockey this morning they are washing the boulevard so they must be planning for no more sand. Carl, I hope your situation gets better. I know camping creates probably the best memories of all, alot different than car shows. We sold our motorhome a couple years ago now because the kids were working and that let me focus on my car. But when grandkids come I don't think there is a better time to be had. My kids camped every year with us and the grandparents. One year we did a holiday with 3 units, us and both sets of grandparents, to Vancouver Island. Was probably one of the most memorable times we ever had as a family. From reading your threads you are in a great situation with your grandkids so enjoy. Max it out.

Ice Age here in SW Florida - we have had a month straight where the temp was mostly a high of 60 degrees Fahrenheit - coldest winter in over 30 years I've lived here. You guys must have stolen our heat! smile.gif

I was watching the new last night and it was saying that it's the warmest winter here since 1890's, since they started keeping records. With highs of 14C forecast for through the weekend. The Olympic people will get a nice view of Whistler and the west coast in our nice SUNNY weather, LOL. They should have held the snowboarding events on Vancouver Island Mt Washington where we have the most snow on a Ski Mountain in BC. Close to 400cm.

Never seen a snow blower in person. Could I get rich by inventing one that would blow snow in the winter and bag leaves in the fall? With my luck this has already been done.cry If not I'm looking for investors.biggrinbiggrin
