66 and 67 Acadian doors


Is there a differance in these 2 doors? someone once said there could be a differance of hieght of the contour edge that runs along the side?

I am not positive but I believe the shell is the same. I know the skin is the same.

As you may know, the locking mechanism is different on 67. It has the little knob/dial on the panel to lock the door where the 66 does not. I don't think the inner structure is different because of this because I think you can interchange the hardware.

Yes the door skins/shells are the same as are the window channels and the hardware will interchange 66/67. The inside door handles are the same as 1966 but the window cranks have larger knobs on them for 1967, same as Camaro.

skins are the same 66 & 67 -- inner structure are not the same -- the area around the handle mounting mechanism is a different shape due to the lock built into the 67 handle --Menno
