Every time I see a nice car like this one on evilbay that is priced too high, it is some dealer like that one who is trying to sell it. Doesn't make sense to me why they think the market will pay that much. Look at that guys completed auctions - over 50 cars UNSOLD and only one sold, a 1973 Chrysler Imperial in poor condition for $3500.

Dave, I agree 100% a friend asked me to keep a eye on a 53 ford rag top that was on E-RAPE,think it went to 23 grand, didn't meet reserve, I gave him the ph# of dealer , They wanted 49,500 FIRM when he called, he said he was "interested at mid 20's for the cars condition, but "NOT" at that price!!!!! Looked good on top but underneath was pretty "shabby"- at that price you would think the car would be done underneath as well!!!

Pete, you and I are from the same era, we KNOW what the 53 Fords were like (I had a buddy who owned one), they were slow with sloppy handling and terrifying brakes, the last of the obsolete flatheads, only a fool would go over $20K for a time warp car like that ... although I have to admit the styling was verrrrrry nice ...

Nice Lemans for sure and not a bad price as far as I'm concerned. I've seen 15,000$ cars around here that need a good restoration, if that car was at John Scotti u wouldn't get for 25,000. Just my 2 cents

I see they have relisted this '70 Lemans 2dr Sedan on ebay and on their site it is at $14,888.........friend is interested but does not know a great deal about these cars!
Does anyone see anything that is not correct about the car!?
Looks very nice // rust free but that can be deceiving in pics. He really likes the V8 with the stick on the column! Definite throw back to the 'old days.'
With the $$ down price is not too far off.

Hope my link to ebay works ok!

Much appreciated for any and all help on this.

This cars been "kicking" around for awhile now!!! I think [that hurts] that 70 was a one yr.only for some of the pieces,ie.frt valence, trunk lid etc. trim is one yr. only for sure!!! Nice car, 3 spd on the tree is a bit "weird" surprised it hasn't been put on the floor!! Nothing like trying a "power shift" w/your foot buryied in the gas pedal, & have the linkage tie its self in a knot going for 2nd. at 6000 RPM!! Been there before!!!
