Is Insurance going up?

A few years ago I bought insurance through PC Financial..
I was happy with their banking and credit card..
I started with the 2001 2500HD truck
Same coverage each year  no miles to work senior and multi-car discounts
                  2007-08  $587.00 for year
                  2008-09  $572.00
                  2009-10  $629.00

So I added  2007 Suburban
                  2008-09 $669.00
2009-10 $736.00        The broker is PC Fin.  and insurance is  Scottish&York...

Today I got notices, explaining that they has "shopped around for me" to get the" best possible coverage"

    So     2001 2500HD    2010-11   $1265.00
and       2007 Suburban   2010-11   $1731.00...      The broker is PC Fin.  and insurance is  Pilot (Aviva)

HOW DID THEY DO????????confuse

Carl who knows how insurance works. I get mine from Meloche Monnex and I am in a pool with Bachelor of Commerce graduates from U of T.  My monthly is $308 for two Cadillacs and a GMC and 5 drivers. So that makes us $3,696 per annum. confuse

I'm paying $103/month for my 10 year old Buick and Connie's Matrix is $116 per month. I don't feel too bad after seeing your quote. The Buick is with Scottish & York.

What about "Grey Power"? Aren't they supposed to be cheaper for seniors?

I am teasing and keeping the car up the ladder    I know very well what a 327 or 427 would do to the rear tires disbelief

I'll show you a photo of a 427 single drive,  and I had to let off, as a car was coming, or the line would be longer.....

apparantly the same thing happened at the BBq this summer, I wanted Ray to take a photo, but his wife Mary was screaming, jawdrop.gif because of the smoke??

There was something on the Toronto radio talk shows about Ins. rates going up anywhere from 8 to 13% in Ontario & thats before the HST come into effect> They said that these increases were for good drivers with no tickets. I can't imagine what it would be for a "poor driver" I just got my bill from Lant's for 64 Catalina & it went down abit from last year, But now they want it re-appraised, so there goes another $125 bucks!!  CAN"T WIN

I am with Wawanessa and pay $191 a month (old fart rate) for a 2006 Matrix and 2001 Dodge Dakota 4x4? Carl shop around, it seems after a couple of years the company(s) starts to increase the premiums. I did hear though that the rates were on the rise.

Here is a thinker. I have 2 1975 pontiac ventura sj's. 1 has a buick 350 the other is an olds 260. The 350 is $35 a month the 260 is $60 a month. I had to ask why they told me olds engines are known to be more powerful. Well i now have a new company and pay $30 each.

wow After seeing some of the insurace prices that you have I am thinking I should move back there just for that purpose. I have 6 diffrent vehicles insured including a bike and if I was to go all with Insurance corp OF BC I would be looking in the area of 7500 a year for all. I have private on the bike and its still 1800 a year. The only cheap ride here is the beaumont at 280 a year but strictly pleasure.

I am with Economical Ins. through our local broker, and am currently paying about 2800/yr for insurance. Now that rate is currently with the wife's '04 Explorer Sport Trac, and my beater '92 Explorer (no collision) covered, and our '05 Pontiac Grand Am on parking insurance. I am sure when I put the car back on the road, the rates will go up a "bit"....and I use that term lightly.....

A fellow I used to work with years ago came into work a couple of weeks back. He is an insurance broker and said he'd log on here and offer a CP discount to members. I'll have to see if I can contact him and get him to post some details.

I drive 1 km to work, Insurance went from 300 to 240 a month. Only 1 million Liability, nothing else. If it goes up, I will cancel it.

One company quotes me for the Riviera to be added on, 8000 a year as the second car. And then asked me if I would like to go through with it. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
Just hung up.

Thats why i included the new cars 07 solstice 06 vibe and an 89 beater they all have full coverage. but my insurance dropped when i moved into the country. i found that in our neck of the woods it makes a difference whom the carrier is. and thier is a black list i know im on it with two companies and not for what you think. got smaked by three bad drivers, and i didnt back down for sellments these two companies are now very unhappy with us.
