from what I've been told , original 283 , 4 spd car. He has done the GM docs on it. I believe it now has a 69-70 300HP 350 installed.

I seen the car before the restoration , it was a pretty solid car to start off with.

Cheviac knows the car as well.

I guess He's trying to broaden the search criteria, I know he had it advertised before as Beaumont. no chevelle in the ad.

Perhaps he should try Vauxhaul?... they sold those at the acadian dealerships too! wink

Its been for sale for a while, price is pretty darn reasonable! Do you think Cheviac could convice him to share the docs and add it to the registry?

p.s. i also think a nice 454, dressed as a 396 would look sweet in that car!!!! BUY IT!!

I think its a nice car for a reasonable price   although a chevy powered 4 speed Vauxhaul would be fun   lol    I really like that the emblems are in the right place

Looks really good! Either small or big block would be nice. Good price for someone looking to buy as opposed to restoring a 43yr. year old fixer-upper.

The 2004 GM Documentation posted calls it just that.

I was teasing again..  but remember what Henry said..   George is doing it wrong! lol
When we pointed out the wording in "his" GM docs.  (on his website) he whited it out and reposted it......

I actually have a understanding of why the cars weren't advertised as Pontiacs.. In those days american Pontiac was the boss and didn't want the canadian cars to waterdown their efforts...

Most of us always considered them as real Pontiacs, and probably didn't notice the lack of advertising with the words Pontiac

Most of knew that the Vauxhaul and Epic and Viva were not made here by General Motors
Its nice that this site, and the new POCI chapter, bring some credibility to the chevy powered cars...
If I owned a Beaumont or Acadian, I "personally" would be pleased to associate it with Canadian Pontiac....

Its amazing that the 1971 Acadian built in Willow Run, was (by some) not considered a Pontiac, yet the minute the "same bodied" car coming down the line was called a Ventura II  its was a Pontiac...

* Note this is conversation for fun  and only the opinion of the writer, who is insane...
