Coming from a coach I disagree on Crosby. Lou made some saves but was not tested all that much, he gave up a couple of softies too. Goaltending still our big question mark.
Crosby parked his ego, went even for the night, checked and hit, drew attention to himself creating time and space for others. In short he played a perfect team game.
Luongo gave the Slovaks a shot at upsetting our apple cart by giving them that first goal with about 8 minutes left. My son would have made that save. Every goalie from the time you are tyke knows that your pad is jammed on the post. It is what it is Luongo better pick it up for the Gold medal game.
So overall the boys played a great game for 52 minutes, soft goal and the door was opened. In the end we are in the Gold medal game. just where we wanted to be. Go Canada Go.
