Why is it so hard to find an old gentlemen's ride nowadays ? Is it because they all been crushed already ??? I just want a big BIG classic car to cruise around in style, Is there anybody out there who knows of one of these unmolested Ponchos in decent shape if I have to drive it back from far away ?
Mostly looking for a decent driver while I restore my never ending 72 Lemans project but if I stumble across a complete Pontiac 428-455 parts car around here, they are always welcome in my yard ... I called that guy in Chatham, isn't it a beautiful Parisienne, unfortunately it's at the end of the world and the original 400 is gone.
Thanks guys ! I'd drive as far east as Montreal if it's really what I want and Vancouver on the west side. This is what I'm looking for : 1967-74 Grandprix 428-455 only, 1971-74 Parisienne 455 and Grandville 455 2dr or convertible, 1970-74 Bonneville 2dr or convertible, GrandSafari or Catalina 455 cars as well and 1973-74 Grandam 455, 1973-75 Lemans Sport Coupe 455. One can tell I've got a Pontiac 455 addiction/obsession LOL ! Cars have to be less than or 6000$ max.
This is listed on autoTrader. 75 GrandVille convert. 455 http://www.autotrader.ca/used_cars_Cars_details/NOBLETON_Ontario_1975_PONTIAC_GRAND+VILLE+Chrome_3852050.html?srcid=1915543&source=24&pgno=2&srt=70&CompanyID=&r=ontario&ad-attributes=photos,,

I got a hold of the old gentleman in High River, his price went up a gran since last year cause he said GM don't make Pontiac anymore, I passed, Nada guides says it's woth around his first asking price...
Wow, I looked at it at the show, and if I hadn't bought my 65 Bel Air, I woulda bought it for sure....Very nice car, but more than the appraised price? I don't think so...

If you go on the link you referred me to and click on it where it says click here you'll se the new ad says 1970 Pontiac Bonneville 350 ??? I wonder what happened to the original 455 ? It means the car went down in value and is not worth as much anymore.
Maybe the ad missed putting the HP after the 350. Someone who is interested should call because that engine looks like an original installation to me. If it isn't it is a nice transplant. Who would know by looking at it anyway 350 /455 makes little difference in a car that will never go over 60 mph.
