I noticed I had torn a wiper blade this morning so I went out to Canadian Tire at lunch, grabbed one, 20 bucks!, got a Harveys combo and headed to my friend Joe and Adrian at JB Racing to eat lunch, shoot the breeze and put on the blade. It is an interesting place as you will see.....
Easy repair but nice to have a warm place to do it
Joe paid $500 for this 68 4 speed 350 Firebird - drove it in the shop.
Some one mention a MIG welder with gas last week - indispensible tool
New Floor from Cross Canada - its like watching Muscle Car TV here
Underhood shot, nice old school air cleaner
Jaguar rear end on T Bucket
454 BBC dual quad in T Bucket
Casasic '59 tail fin
Solid southern car
Like I said, solid southern car
Nice little Falcon convertible
55 Ford 2dr. sedan
Your choice of small blocks
White Thunderbird
1927 Pierce Arrow, wrapped up tight
Trying to find a transaxle leak - Pontiac Sunfire
That's my lunch break for today.

What's not to love about that place! BBC in T-bucket w. Jag rear, 59 Caddy, etc. - but that is a 1956 Ford, not a 55, the parking lights were distinctly different - side trim loks like a Customeline but that chrome on the top of the headlights must be some aftermarket add-on, those lovely headlights (I have always thought that the 55-56 Fords had great lines and the headlights were divinely styled) did not come like that from the factory, eh?
My kinda place, I envy your lunch stop!
Dave

You are right Dave - 56 Ford. It's a Canadian model - Rideau, 2dr. post car. I think that's the model.
Hey Ray cool shop your buddy has. That is a Rideau. Meteor Rideau. You can tell by the grill moulding. That's different than a 56 Ford. Same parking light though.
You got it Earl that's exactly what it is. It is a sharp car for sure, it's got old school dual quads coming through the hood.
Now you guys know why Hillar was so over the moon when I introduced him to Joe.
Joe is probably having a BBQ this summer, he has a great band Playback plus the shop is great but the waiting room is worth the drive. I'll keep you posted, could be a CP meeting. All the guys bring their old rides and line them up in the Hydro right of way, bands play, girls dance , guys drink and eat.
Cool beans! All I did today at lunch was visit my friendly Chrysler dealer and picked up a Mopar Performance adjustable brake pushrod for my dual MC conversion on my 59 Dodge..

Ah, I was not looking closely enough - now I can see part of the distinctive Meteor grille bar - first time I saw one was when I had my 55 Ford and I thought "wow someone sure built a wild custom grille" since back then I wasm't up on Canadian model differences.
I did not remember those little chrome strips on top of the headlights but now I can see that they were another difference compared to the US Fords - the Meteor had them as factory trim.
Learn something new every day ...
Dave
