An 8.8 magnitude earthquake has hit south central Chile this morning. From what I have been hearing there is heavy damage and at least 85 lost lives. I hope all of our Chilean members are ok.
My daughter landed in Costa Rica on Monday and they were warned yesterday of a Tsunami but she said the locals weren't worried about it. They were expecting waves around a metre high. They're staying 800 metres from the beach but everything seems okay. Poor Chile though, have seen some pictures with overpasses and buildings showing some major damage. These things just happen so quick.
