Settle down guys, that's how much snow we've had here north of Oshawa since Thurs night. My car trailer was bare then, measured the snow this morning after I shoveled my way to shop to get the blower. Talked to son inlaw in Oshawa & they have no snow!! That's only 25mi south of here, thats the difference when you get north of the "ridges" Still snowing heavy & will be at the "blowing" again!!!!

Stiill snowing in old TO as well. I don't see that much accumulating but we've cleard the driveway three times in since yesterday morning. The big city creates a lot of heat and downtown there is a city underground so starts to snow melts on contact with the ground. Road crews have a new technique as well, they pre-treat roads with a sodium solution and it helps. The snow mounds left by the ploughs beside the road on my street are only about 18" high at this point.
when I was driving tractor-trailer & they started using that solution on the 401, we had more "problems" with electrical connections & light failures than ever before!!! Highly corrosive "crap" but they don't care about that as long as the road is "bare" & the 4 wheelers can drive "way too fast" for conditions!!! THATS OK???
