Yeah it's tough, playoffs is a whole new season and lots of times it's much too short.

That hurts so early. Is the heat on the coach ? Sounds like the Cru should have put up a better fight. Sorry, I know how it feels, but somethings not right there. 17 points ahead and drop three straight?

I'm hoping to go two rounds at least.

There's a sad side and a happy side to everything isn't there Elroy?

Give him a hug, tell him you're proud of him.

Now get on out there and work on your car!!!!

We started basketball playoffs tonight with our son. They won, so they keep moving on (too bad...!!!) Kidding, I love watching the energy in the boys.

Our daughter is grade 8 and they only have finals in their own zone. She finished last Thursday.

(Look out, shamless parental bragging coming up..........)

They won by the outrageous score of 31 to 13!!! She had 14 points. One of the smallest girls on the team but her big brother taught her well!!!

I know what you mean. I never know whether to cheer for or against them! Cheer against them cause you want a normal life back, cheer for them cause you want them to do their best.

Ray I think you have something there. We just didnt look prepared and thats really too bad cause we had the best player in the country MVP of the league Cody Kunyk and had a lot of vets on this team. All 3 games were close and we outshot the Pontiacs but couldnt score. Wasnt supposed to be I guess. Looking forward to next year, already. Good luck with the FLames !

Carl : yea our girls did basketball too. They both played college too and our son in law played college and university ball so they are all in that loop for sure! Its a great run but short so spend every minute with those kids and catch up to the cars later !!, thats what I hoping to do . My son is absolutely wired now about working on the camino so that will be fun too !

You have to play the games, I've never mailed one in yet! I started clamping down at the Christmas break knowing that we would have to be rolling now.

I started really enforcing dress code, really making them skate when even one was late for practice or didn't have their practice uniform. I put conditioning in the practices twice, mid point and end. Conditioning is a nice way to say hard skating for ten minutes for those who might not know. So far we have won a lot of games in the third. It pays off. Thanks for the Good Luck.

Our son gets his learner's permit in about 6 weeks. I'm not sure if he and I will work more on cars then (because he will have more "car" enthusiasm) or less because he will always just want to be driving somewhere!

Oh that will bring it on for sure ! He'll want a stereo and more power , guaranteed ! Hey, I have a real lumpy cam for you , comp cam 288. This sounds tougher at an idle than any smallblock I have heard for awhile, no bottom end to speak of so you don't have to worry about tires , lol>

Haha, sounds like a typical teenager mistake! "I want it to sound like a race car", followed up after it's installed by "why is it slower than it was before I put the cam in???!!!"

His LT1 Roadmaster he bought already has enough stereo he says. Besides that, he's a bit of a chip off the old block as far as spending money. He keeps track of where every dollar goes. And after he buys a couple of new right rear tires for that big boat (no posi!) he will learn to control that pedal a bit, I"m sure!

Back to the sport part, it's exciting to have kids wanting to play. I played a year of basketball, Grade 8, nothing else and never wanted to. It was all cars. I likely would have had a lot more friends in school had I played team sports. As it was, I pretty much only hung out with guys who liked cars. In some ways that was good, because in the last year or two of high school then of course the sports guys were often out up to no good after the games.
