love the weather

Had to grill tonight! Maple glazed pork chops, grilled bellpepers, yumm! Hope the weather holds for the weekend, as I have the need to feed! (Bbq that is.)

I've been BBQing for a few weeks now. The birds are back, flowers are coming up, and as I type this, I can see 3 boats out on Okanagan Lake. Temp was 12 or 13 today, maybe warmer.

Going down to Turkey Point on Lake Erie this weekend. Time to pay for the summer dock at the marina. Always get the itch when it gets like this.

I have to chuckle a bit. You guys talk about the BBQ when it's nice. I live in southern Manitoba and we fire it up and old time, 24/7/365!!! There's no such thing as a "season" for us!

Mine BBQ gets used all year. Its a classic. Sits out in the weather. Bought it when I was 18. I replace the original cast iron burnner in it 2 years ago. They still make all the parts for it. Uncle built houses and gave them to new home buyers. We got a great deal on them because he bought so many. $450 36 years ago.

When I lived in Alberta, my cutoff for BBQing was -20C. Any lower than that and it would take forever to cook.

John, you need to put on a bigger propane line! Kinda like a double pumper instead of vacuum secondary!!!

Then I'd have to join a BBQ forum, for advice on performance enhancements!
I'd have to get those little purging nozzles, and purge before each run, and so on. It could just get out of hand. biggrin

Then you would be "all bottle, no throttle."

We got hammered again with high winds and snow last night ... white outs, and 12 cars in the ditch on the way home!
