2 door 70 Olds Vista Cruiser?

This was on Ebay. Factory prototype or homemade hack job? I'll put my money on hack job. It is interesting though:

It's homemade for sure, but the way the windows relate to each other is no worse than many of the new cars, crossovers, and suv's we can buy today.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks any sign of "flowing lines" has all but disappeared on those vehicles!

Carl, I'm sure the same people who are designing cars, are designing shavers, toasters, and vacuum cleaners. It's disheartening!

This posting is obviously open to opinions, some liking the car and some not so much. I can tell you one thing guys, this isn't anywhere near as pathetic as the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air monster 4-
wheel drive I saw for sale in Bryanston or Ballymote probably about 18 years ago or so. It was of
course fire engine resale red and just looked ridiculous! The sad part was the body looked to be in mint condition. It was so noticeable over everything else because it sat so high; well above even the pickup trucks for sale on the lot. As I finish off here, I only have three words to say about that car and that is "Grow a brain!" Hearkens me back to American Graffiti when the guy yells to Toad: "What a waste of machinery!"

Im sell my 1957 2 door coupe for $1200.00. It is on a 1985 blazer k5 4x4 frame. Has a 350 motor in it. Not sure if it runs. Cars not in the best of shape rusted out. In my eyes bodies crap but the powertrain seems good. As Is. I was going to put some other body on the frame but I dont have the time.

A hack. I owned a (at that time late model) 69 and a 72 (not much difference between them) and they were definately 4 doors. Stretched wheelbase compared to Cutlass at the time. Something strange about the rear quarter windows on this car, I will post some pictures of my 69 tomorrow ...

Hey! That's the same trunk latch that came with my car! Except I got a correct latch and new lock, so I basically got a free bungie cord with my car, eh? smile.gif

Ah. That explains why the door doesn't look like either of the Vistacruiser doors, and that weird side window. Must have been a rear clip used to get the tailgate. And I agree, it is fugly.
